Moment Of Passion

 

  • 1 oz Callisto Rum
  • 1 oz Dark Jamaican Rum
  • 0.5 oz Spiced Rum
  • 0.5 oz Naranja Orange Liqueur
  • 0.5 oz Macadamia Nut Orgeat
  • 1 oz Fresh Passion Fruit Juice
  • 0.5 oz Fresh Lime Juice                          
    Fresh mint bouquet garnish 

 

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake to chill and dilute. Double-strain into the serving glass( I am using a very large Passion Fruit). Garnish with fresh mint.

 

Macadamia Nut Orgeat:

  • 1 cup Macadamia Nuts (unsalted)
  • 3/4 cup Water
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • Zest of one orange
  • 1/4 cup Callisto Rum

 

Combine nuts, water and sugar in a small sauce pan. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and allow to steep for 30 minutes. Add orange zest and rum. Transfer the mixture into the food processor. Pulse a few times to break up the nuts. Cover and let steep overnight.

The following day strain the mixture through a fine mash and discard the solids ( you can use the leftover nuts for macadamia nut banana bread). Store in the airtight container in the refrigerator.
